My name is Jackie Slater and I am a marriage celebrant based in the Illawarra, however, I am willing to travel should it be required. I am fully qualified and have been authorised by the Attorney General's Department to perform marriages. I am also available to conduct Namings, Funerals, Commitment Ceremonies, Same Sex Ceremonies and Rites of passage. Although these are the usual occasions at which ceremonies are held, I firmly believe that any significant occasion can have a suitable ceremony.

I have experience in event management, hospitality, and business administration. For over twenty years I worked in the funeral industry and at present I work in administration for a charity that provides services for adults with disability.

Getting married is a big leap from the life of two single people to that of a married couple, and I would regard it an honour to be asked to help you take that step. Your ceremony would be crafted to suit the two of you, your personalities, your lifestyle, your likes, dislikes and your family circumstances. It would include as much or as little as your like as long as the legal requirements are met.
